Covid Dance Guidelines - Update as at the end of April
The following is an update to our restrictions and processes for the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic as at 29 April 2022.
The key changes are based on the relaxed State Government restrictions on 29 April and on advice from the WA Covid Health Line that our sessions qualify as 'exercise' .
The situation of course is still subject to change, so please check your PID news emails and keep up to date with the latest information on the
WA Government Health Covid site.
The hall size is more than adequate for the number of dancers that have attended sessions over the past year.
Masks – are only required to be worn in situations such as on public transport, in hospitals and in aged care facilities
Masks - there is no strict need to wear a mask - you may however wear a mask as a personal decision.
Wearing masks, social distancing and not holding hands while dancing are now matters of personal choice. Those choices are supported by Perth International Dance.
If you do wear a mask while dancing, please take more breaks and drink more water.
Hand holding is not recommended and partner dancing remains off-limits
There is still no need to book.
Session times are unchanged; Saturday: Teaching 2:45 - 3:45pm, Requests: 3:50 - 4:45pm; the Monday session tmes are 7:15 - 9:20pm,
Requests should be made at the dance session, up to 2 requests per person,
To help you to make requests, you can download summaries of requests for Monday and Saturday.
For greater detail, you can download our iTunes playlists in Excel.
The cost is $7 for each session; there is no payment at the hall.
You will be billed at the end of the month for all days that you attend.
When you enter and before you leave, please use the hand sanitiser provided.
Of course, don't come if you are not well, and cough into your elbow if you must cough.
At the end of your session, please leave promptly while distancing, unless you are helping with the cleaning.
We still do not have a venue for our performance and contradance sessions at this time.
